Detailed Itinerary for the 3 days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth, visit the Equator at Kayabwe

Since it is a long drive, you will wake up very early in the morning, have breakfast and our driver/guide will pick you up, brief you and head for the 7 hour journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. During the journey, you will make a stopover at Kayabwe to see the Equator. If you want you will take good photo shoots and take a look on the beautiful handmade items available for sell.

After, you will then continue with the journey and make another stopover in Mbarara city to have lunch. Immediately you finish lunch, you will resume with your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. By around 5 in the evening, you will be already checking in at the hotel/lodge. You will freshen up and rest as you prepare for dinner.

Day 2: Morning Game drive, boat cruise at Kazinga channel

lions-in-queen-elizabeth-national-parkYou will have a simple breakfast served very early in the morning at the hotel and then head to the wilderness for your first game drive. During this game drive, you will have a chance to spot various animals in their habitats such as the Uganda Kobs, African elephants, buffaloes, giant forest hog, warthogs, and lions among others. You will as well see the beautiful natural vegetation, and breathe taking wild views.

Once you are done with the game drive, you will be transported back to your hotel for a quick lunch as you prepare for the next activity. Since you have to catch the boat, you will be taken to Kazinga Channel immediately after lunch. While on the boat cruise, you will have an opportunity to sport herds of different animal and bird species at the shores. The boat will slowly take you along the channel as the guide will be sharing knowledge about the animal behavior and habitats. After the boat cruise, our drive/guide will transport you back to the hotel.

Day 3: Visit Lake Katwe salt mining, Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe

You will start this beautiful day with a quick breakfast and check out from the hotel. All your belongings parked in the car and then head to the famous Lake Katwe to see how salt is mined which will mark the end of your 3 days Queen Elizabeth National Park. Since you should to Kampala/Entebbe before late, you will have start on you 7 hour road trip. After a 3 hour drive, you will stop over Mbarara for lunch and then get back on the road. At around 5 in the evening, you will already be at your hotel.

Pumba Safari lodge is located in Kyambura in the eastern part of Queen Elizabeth National park. This lodge offers self-contained cottages with relaxing warm showers.
